According to CCPIA monthly bulletin of statistics of China pesticides, in Jan 2015, volume weighted average (transaction) price of glyphosate TC fell by 13% month-on-month. Seen from the above chart, transaction price of glyphosate was basically going down throughout the year of 2014. Now the price is at the lowest point historically, even less than half of the highest point in 2013.

With 24 glyphosate manufacturers operating in Jan, output kept same level with that of Dec 2014, while sales volume decreased by 25% month-on-month. Sales volume declining was basically caused by the Spring Festival, orders from domestic fell significantly, only export orders was still in operation. Stock of glyphosate in Jan was at high level. The potential risk of price collapse has been showing up. Insiders are laying their hope on the market after the festival.
